PD Dr. rer. nat. habil. Katrin Mittmann

Katrin Mittmann's more than 10-year university career in the field of mathematics with a focus on stochastic analysis funded by the German Research Foundation was crowned by a successful habilitation and the Venia legendi.

Her curiosity and her endeavour to always think outside the box paved the way for her move to the pharmaceutical industry, where she worked on clinical trials in regulatory approval projects and supervised non-interventional studies in a management capacity.

Katrin Mittmann's interest for clinical trials then led her to a research-oriented neurological practice, where the interface between biostatistics and clinical practice provided her with a sound insight not only into evaluation procedures of clinical trials, but also into their practical implementation on patients.

Today, SocraMetrics is happy to have won Katrin Mittmann, a mathematician, who, in addition to methods of statistics, also counts the practical implementation of clinical studies as part of her wealth of experience and is proficient in relevant programming languages, especially SAS. This combination, together with her passion for drug research and in particular flexible statistical methods, makes her a smart and valued partner in the design development of clinical trials.
